As 2007 is the year which commemorates the 200th anniversary of the abolition of the slave trade in the British empire, it would be remiss of me not to mention William Wilberforce, the parliamentary campaigner who laboured tirelessly for his entire life to bring this to pass. William Wilberforce was an Evangelical Christian, and it was his faith which gave him the moral and spiritual energy to pursue this cause until he achieved success in this matter. He was also a friend of John Newton, the converted slave trader, who wrote a good many hymns, including "Amazing Grace".

William Wilberforce - The Anti-Slavery Campaigner

Welcome!
Welcome to my new blog about Christian books!
Having been a Christian for quite a long time, and having bought quite a lot of Christian books myself, I have quite a good understanding of how to choose good Christian books.
My aim is to include news, reviews and recommendations of Christian books, and also to make it easy for you to buy these books online.
May I suggest that you subscribe to the Atom or RSS feed for this blog, so that I can keep you informed with my latest recommendations concerning Christian books?
Also, take a look at the Believers Bookshelf Store - see the link in the sidebar. I have already begun populating this online bookstore with some of my recommended titles.
Do you have a book collection of your own? It is now possible to catalogue your books online. A great site for doing this is LibraryThing. You can see some of my book collection, which I have begun to populate, in the sidebar. Why not catalogue your own book collection with LibraryThing? It is very easy to do.
I hope as you seek to obtain good Christian books, that God will guide you in His Way and in His Truth.
God bless you.
